I noticed that the plugs are provided about 4. Here are images of my test plug on each ignitor. The battery pack in your photo is labeled as a LiFe battery, not LiPo. It must have a built-in voltage reducer to power a glow plug. You should be getting 1.

Lipo glow igniter is a nice idea but the battery has just too small capacity. So I guess it’s reading the voltage as Brutus described.

Use a cut-off and you are all clear! The added convenience of it holding charge and still having its own simple plug-in-and -forget charger, with a good usable capacity, a low-charge indicator not just a burning smell thankfully and an accurate ‘fuctioning glow plug’ indicator still make this appealing.

Are you sure the voltmeter is measuring the voltage at the end of the glow plug driver and not the LiFe battery voltage?
